Help NREL Understand Heat Pump Design and Installation Challenges

May 15, 2025

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is surveying HVAC industry professionals to gather insights on current practices, methodologies, and challenges related to sizing and selecting residential heat pumps, with a focus on building integration, distribution systems, and envelope upgrades.

NREL is asking mechanical service contractors to weigh in and help them identify industry trends and opportunities for improving heat pump design and installation practices by completing this survey and sharing it with your colleagues. The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and responses are due by May 30, 2025.
