Ricky Reams to Present on “The Future of Head Protection” at ASSP SAFETY25 Conference

July 17, 2025

Ricky Reams, Vice President of Safety and Quality at Murphy Company and a member of  MCAA’s Safety and Health Committee, will be presenting at the upcoming American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) SAFETY25 conference in Orlando, FL. His presentation, titled “The Future of Head Protection,” will take place on Wednesday, July 23, at 10 a.m.

Reams, a distinguished safety leader and the 2022 MCAA/MILWAUKEE TOOL Safety Professional of the Year, will join industry experts—including Cam Mackey, President & CEO of the International Safety Equipment Association, and Albert Weaver III, President of L.A. Weaver Co.—in exploring cutting-edge materials, design innovations, regulatory trends, and emerging hazard mitigation techniques shaping the next generation of head safety.

The session aims to guide safety professionals through evolving challenges in high-risk industries such as construction and manufacturing, offering actionable insights into selecting and deploying head protection solutions that align with new regulatory standards and workforce needs.

“We’re incredibly proud to have Ricky represent MCAA members in this critical dialogue,” said Raffi Elchemmas, MCAA’s Executive Director for Safety, Health, and Risk Management. “His expertise underscores our longstanding commitment to advancing safety culture in mechanical contracting.”

Attendees can learn more about the conference, register, and access the full schedule at the SAFETY25 website.

MCAA congratulates Ricky Reams and thanks Jennifer McNelly, CAE, ASSP’s Chief Executive Officer, for her instrumental leadership and continued partnership. We look forward to the valuable insights this presentation will contribute to advancing industry-wide head protection standards.
