Learn How this Captain Survived a Hijacking at MCAA2020

November 14, 2019

We all aspire to live bravely in the face of life’s significant challenges, but few of us are tested under the guns of hostile pirates who threaten our leadership, authority, lives and colleagues. Before Somali pirates hijacked Captain Richard Phillips’ cargo ship and held him captive for five days, making him the center of a riveting international drama that played out live on television, he was as normal as each of us, doing our best at work and home. Phillips will share his compelling story and relate his experience as a “floating CEO,” in charge of the day-to-day operations of a multi-million-dollar ship and the crew he managed. Learn more about Phillips and find out what else is in store at MCAA2020 on our convention website.
