Welcome fellow MCAA Members to our MCAA PAC Contribution Solicitation page! As Chairman of our MCAA Government Affairs and Political Action Committee, I’ll make this pitch brief. Our MCAA member involvement in our advocacy program over the years taking our industry views and policy positions to lawmakers, regulators and Federal candidates back home in our local areas and in Washington DC have gained MCAA’s Advocacy Program a valuable seat at the public policy decision- making table in DC. Our active member involvement won us that valuable position, and our active member support must be maintained to keep our position at the table. I’ve seen it first hand over many years as a member of the Committee under the leadership of Lonnie Coleman and Bill Albanese before me – and now I see if first hand every day as Chairman. Whether it’s multiemployer pension reform, accounting rules for our member contributors to pension plans, health plan policy and requirements, Federal contracting policy on bidding and payment procedures, apprenticeship regulations, prevailing wage issues and procedures, safety regulations, EEOC or affirmative action requirements, paid sick leave policies or general labor and employment laws and regulations, our MCAA member active involvement has made a significant difference for our industry and our firms over a broad range of issues and public policy challenge. – that we address year after year in DC. An ongoing and well-funded PAC is an integral part of that overall effort. We have been growing steadily since the MCAA PAC was reconstituted in 1998 – it’s up to you to help us keep that momentum and build on it. Please consider carefully the importance of our PAC to our industry when considering whether to make a donation. You’ve seen a lot of boilerplate disclaimer and legends on these pages that is required by the Federal Election Commission of Trade Association PACs. But once you slice through that, as you’ve done – it’s all up to you to help your fellow MCAA members keep up our best efforts in DC on key laws and regulations that affect all of us. Best Regards, Jim Gaffney, MCAA Government Affairs Committee and Political Action Committee Chairman.I certify that:* I am not a foreign national I am not a Federal Contractor (an individual or sole proprietor under performing a contract for the Federal government.
