For 57 years, QPH has been a steady force in commercial mechanical construction, employing plumbers, pipefitters, welders, and the team behind the scenes who turn drawings into reality.

Our Plan & Spec Division is where projects begin.

We are looking for a college student who wants real exposure to how commercial construction is estimated, bid, and strategically pursued.

What You Will Experience

This is not a coffee run internship. You will sit at the table.

Review construction drawings and specifications
Assist with material and labor take offs
Track addendums and organize bid documents
Support estimators during bid preparation
Communicate with vendors for pricing
Attend pre bid meetings when applicable
Learn how scope, risk, and cost decisions are made

You will see how numbers on a page become crews in the field.

Ideal Majors

Construction Management
Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Business with interest in construction or operations
Building Construction Technology

If you are curious about how large commercial projects are won and why some are not, this is for you.

What We Are Looking For

Strong attention to detail
Organized and deadline driven
Comfortable with Microsoft Excel
Willing to ask questions and learn
Professional communication skills
Interest in mechanical systems and commercial construction

Experience reading blueprints is a plus, but we will teach the right person.
