CAD Operator / Production Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Attend preliminary meetings to understand the project specifications and scope
• Use design software to produce 3D designs and perform clash detection with other trades
• Assist Project Managers and Foremen with construction coordination duties
• Assist Project Managers with submittals, as-built drawing and operation & maintenance manual
creation.
• Provide spool drawings from the design for use in pre-fabrication of piping
• Incorporate feedback from project Managers and field personnel

Qualifications
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in architecture, engineering, construction management or
similar field OR a minimum 5 years of experience as CAD Designer.
• Advanced knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP or Navisworks
• Possess a firm grasp of the industry as a whole to stay up to date on trends and evolving technology

• Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Working Conditions and Environment
• This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in order to get projects
completed on time
• This is a 40 hour per week on site position working M-F

Physical Abilities
• Sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
• View a computer screen for extended periods of time
• Capable of walking construction jobsites for on-site coordination and issue resolution
