Flo-tron, Inc. Project Manager Position

General Description:

Seeking a construction project manager to manage HVAC projects of the $50,000-$5,000,000 price range, this position will hold the overall responsibility for profitable and timely delivery of the portfolio of projects assigned within the greater Baltimore/Washington Dc area.

Responsibilities:

During the pre-bid/project conception process, assess the risks to the projects profitability for the proposed scope of work, construction methods and construction schedule. Provide the company sales organization with reliable information with regards to risk mitigation, labor cost, materials and subcontract costs.

During project construction, ensure the correct scope of the project is installed in accordance with the project documentation and applicable codes.

Be able to manage several projects concurrently of varying size and scope.

Collaborate with numerous team members to ensure that each project achieves its maximum profitability through strategic purchasing, timely and accurate material delivery, and labor resource management.

Resolve construction, product, and subcontract issues and disputes in a professional manner.

Develop, monitor and maintain the project delivery schedules in MS Project format.

Monitor the project scope of work and when required, be able to price and negotiate contract change orders, including schedule impacts.

Work as a team with Service Department to share manpower resources.

Issue POs and monitor project cost using Jonas software.

Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontractor contracts.  Monitor subcontractor progress and performance to achieve the project requirements.

Software experience requirements:
Microsoft project
Microsoft office suite
Cost accounting/project documentation (Jonas Construction Software)

Education and Experience:

(Prior internship experience considered.)

0-10 Years HVAC Industry Experience
0 -5 Years Project Management Experience
0 -5 Mechanical Estimating Experience
Proficient in reading construction drawings and documents.
