Acing School Installation Test with LAARS, a Bradford White Company & The Helm Group

Asked for advice on the Belvidere, IL, School District’s new boilers, the Helm Group’s Service Division recommended Laars Heating Systems Company’s MagnaTherm® FT boilers. The Helm Group was impressed with the product quality as well as Laars’ extended warranty and commitment to supporting customers. Helm Group then competed for and won the contract to install and maintain the Laars systems, successfully installing them in the strict three-month window before the new school year. The Precedent and Voyager with Symbio 700 program provides the technical knowledge and skills required to start- up, service and troubleshoot Precedent units with Symbio 700 controls and is intended to familiarize technicians with the new Precedent with Symbio 700 controls rooftop unit. This course will cover new product information with an emphasis on the Symbio 700 control platform.

Foundations of Field Leadership begins April 3rd: once a week for 8 weeks, students spend 90 minutes online with an experienced field leader, who will walk them through best practices and practical strategies of running work and running a crew.

From Planning to Leadership, from Documentation to Safety: our instructors break down the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ of things that every foreman must understand to be successful. The course itself is made up of weekly online lectures with real-time student interaction, quizzes, and short video assignments.
