MCAA/CNA Safety Awards Qualification Report

The MCAA/CNA Safety Awards Program recognizes members that have achieved excellence in their safety programs. It also provides participating companies with a confidential benchmarking report that compares their incidence rates with the aggregate rates of other participating companies and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) industry averages. Participation is easy and it is free as a benefit of membership. All members are encouraged to enter - you do not need to be insured by CNA in order to participate.

How Does It Work?

  • We will collect qualification reports through Close of Business on Friday, February 17, 2012.
  • All participants who have submitted a qualification report will receive a safety statistics benchmarking report for 2011 in April 2012. In addition to this report, all qualifying entries will receive a MCAA certificate of commendation.
  • From among the entries received, the companies which have provided exemplary numbers will be contacted via e-mail and given an opportunity to compete for the top MCAA/CNA Safety Awards. At that time, the contact designated on the form below will be asked via e-mail to provide further information about their company's safety program via a detailed questionnaire.
  • A panel of judges from MCAA and CNA will make the final decisions from among the detailed submissions received. The information you submit will be kept strictly confidential. Any member of the judging panel with a potential conflict of interest with any of the finalists will be recused from judging that application.
  • Awards will be be presented at the MCAA 2012 Annual Convention in March.
  • Members who qualify but choose not to compete for top awards are still eligible for MCAA certificates of commendation.

The 2011 Safety Awards submission period ended February 17, 2012. Winners will be announced at www.mcaa.org/mcaa2012. Non-award winners will receive reports and certificates of commendation, if applicable, in April 2012.
